What to expect when you vote early

Vote early

In Ohio, starting the day after the close of voter registration for any election, all registered voters may request and vote an absentee ballot in person at their county board of elections or voting center as designated by the county.

What to expect when you vote early

Absentee voting starts 29 days before the election (October 6 for the November 3, 2020 General Election) in the Carroll County Board of Elections office.  We are located on the 1st floor of the courthouse.

You can request, receive and cast your ballot all at the same time.

To request a ballot you will need to bring identification or complete a simple form.  The form requires:
  • Your name
  • Your current residential address
  • Your birthdate
  • Either the last 4 digits of your social security number or your drivers license number
  • Your party affiliation, if it is a primary election
  • Your signature
  • Remember to bring your glasses if you need them to see

Upon showing ID or completion of the form you will receive your ballot.  Vote your absentee ballot and insert into the scanner.

Congratulations!!! You voted early!
